I wanted to build a set of Adirondack chairs for my front porch but there’s a couple of things that I don’t like about the design. They typically lay too far back for my taste, they sit too low to the ground, and they’re stationary. Instead of reinventing the entire wheel, Rockler sent me their plans and template kit for their Classic Adirondack chair and I modified it to fix these three issues. In the end, I had a wonderfully comfortable Adirondack chair that is a hybrid of Rockler and Fisher’s Shop! Furthermore, I have plans available on my website that will let you build the same exact chair! The material cost to make these chairs is very low making this a perfect beginner’s project. And if you’re looking to sell these chairs, you could make a killing! Check out the video and see for yourself!
