Feeling grounded in ourselves will always serve us when we face change and or adversity. Feeling rooted can help us respond to threats and challenges in a calmer and more rational way… well most of the time 😉
Two of the main things I remove from my daily life when I am working on grounding myself and connecting deeper to myself are social media, and foods that lower my energy.
What about you? What are the things that affect your energy the most?

http://www.pilatesology.com In this apparatus demonstration, Kathi Ross-Nash thoroughly explains the uses and proportions of the traditional Reformer and the reasons Joe Pilates created it the way he did. Kathi first shows you how to properly set up and use your Reformer, explaining how the angles of the footbar, shoulder blocks, straps, etc… are proportioned to fit any body regardless of height. She then takes a student through a beginner level workout to illustrate how the body fits within the frame that the Reformer provides, and how the exercises here parallel the exercises on the mat. Whether you’re a Pilates enthusiast or an Instructor of many years, there is much to learn from Kathi’s talent for communicating and evoking the exacting standards and true depth in the Pilates method. If you enjoy this class, check out Flowing Beginner Workout, where Kathi puts it all together in a workout format. Filmed at American Body Tech, Kathryn Ross-Nash’s Allendale, NJ studio.

MeJo often gets asked by students how the Gratz apparatus is different than other Pilates apparatus. In this mini workshop she demonstrates how the exercises are altered when changes to the apparatus take place. You’ll see for instance how if you change the angle of the strap by putting it up on risers, it changes the angle of every arm exercise, or how the gear placement alters how much work is required to pull the carriage back in—a crucial element in the Pilates method. It’s fascinating information that will help you get more out of your Gratz as well as show why Joe built it the way he did. Filmed at Alycea Ungaro’s Real Pilates™, New York, NY. Video Rating: / 5

As a family medicine doctor I see patients for fitness-related care all the time. I decided to put together a list of some of the most common mistakes and pitfalls my patients deal with as they begin their fitness journeys. Today we talk about all sorts of stuff, such as the impact of your diet, the myth of spot reduction, gym fails, supplement use such as protein, creatine and pre-workouts, aggressive personal trainers, the truth about stretching, the importance of weight lifting, and the incredible value of recovery. Let me know how your fitness journey is going down in the comments!
I LOVE reading your comments and take your suggestions seriously. If there’s a subject you want me to discuss or something you’d like for me to react to, leave a comment down below. Many of my videos have been born out of suggestions directly from you, so don’t hold back!
